01-07-2019JULY 1: A NEW FELLOW RESEARCHER BEGINS WORKING ON THE CHARCLEAN PROJECT.
On July 1, Felipe Silva joined the Charcoal project team as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
Laboratory tests linked with Task-2 have started.
CharClean's team (Félix Charvet, Felipe Silva & Daniel Neves) started pyrolysis experiments in November using a laboratory-scale reactor. The experiment's objective is the characterization of the three final products of wood pyrolysis (Charcoal /Bio-Oil / Non-Condensable gases). The experiments will test different operating conditions such as temperatures, heating rates, and using several types kinds of wood common in Southern Europe.
