To disseminate the results achieved so far, the CHARCLEAN project will organize the 1st CHARCLEAN workshop, under the theme "Charcoal Production in Portugal".

Team members presented the main results of the research as well as future work to be carried out. 

 The team has been working on a dissemination video to show the main objectives and results of the project.

The Charclean team published an article  entitled "Pyrolysis characteristics of undervalued wood varieties in the portuguese charcoal sector" in the open-access energies journal.

Our colleague Felix Charvet presented some of the results obtained concerning tasks 1 and 3 of the CharClean project.

Two students of the Integrated Master’s Course on Environmental Engineering are working on their dissertation. 

The last week of April, our colleague Félix Charvet will present two posters framed in tasks-1 and 3 of the Charclean project in the EUBCE-2021.

Following all the security measures due to the pandemic, it was possible to do the bulk of the work related to research in the laboratory.

Environmental Engineer (MIEA) students of the Department of Environment and Planning joined the Master Course lecture.

The Charclean project welcomes professor Teresa Nunes as a new member of the team.

The research team has been mobilized to southern Portugal. 

The research work carried out at the laboratory scale reactor was present at the 28th European Biomass Conference & Exhibition E-EUBCE 2020. 

The Charclean Project objectives were presented at the 1st workshop on “ICDT projects related to the prevention and fighting of forest fires”.

The Charclean Project was presented in the session “ Rural Fires: Better management based on scientific evidence ”.

CharClean's team started the pyrolysis tests in the laboratory reactor. 

On October 1, Félix Ricardo Charvet joins the CHARCLEAN project team.

Our colleague Felipe Silva presented a work entitled " Charcoal production infrastructure in Portalegre district (Portugal): a first assessment from satellite imagery and field observations".

The Charclean team went to the Wastes: Solutions, Treatments and Opportunities conference.

On July 1, Felipe Silva joined the Charcoal project team as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
